xdelta and Arch Linux

When an Arch Linux package is updated it can be quite a large download to pick up a small point release. For example I have three versions of glibc-2.5 on my system all of which were 10Mb downloads. Some experimentation with xdelta 1.1 shows that the move from glibc-2.5-3 to glibc-2.5-5 which cost 20Mb to download would have been 1Mb using xdelta patches instead.

Perhaps Arch will consider going to an xdelta based system for these minor upgrades?
